Those interested in taking in the park's ever-changing landscapes should put on their walking boots.
There are plenty of ways to enjoy a walk in the park. Some prefer to simply head out and see where they end up, while others prefer following a fixed route of coloured markers. There are also long distance routes, and themed walks.
Marked route
There are nine different marked routes. Use the park's walking, cycling, and driving map (€ 2,00) for an overview of the marked routes. This is available at all entrances and at the informationdesk in the Museonder.
Landscape Path
The Landscape Path was specially designed for the 75th anniversary of De Hoge Veluwe National Park. This 4.1-kilometre cultural-historic walking route takes you past some of the park's many highlights, such as the Kröller-Müller Museum, the Franse Berg, and the wide open plains of the Pampelse Zand. There are two picnic areas along the way, both of which are wheelchair accessible. You can leave the path at two points during your walk to visit the wildlife observation points. The route starts at the Museonder.
Experience Route
The Experience Route was made possible by and developed with the Revalidatiefonds ('Rehabilitation Fund') and the Fonds Verstandelijk Gehandicapten ('Dutch fund for the mentally disabled'). Here, you are invited to touch, smell, see, and listen to all you encounter. Fun for people of all ages. The route starts at the Museonder and is Wheelchair accessible.
Berlage Path
The Berlage Path runs along the outer edges of the pond near the Country Residence/ Museum Jachthuis Sint Hubertus. The walk starts at the Lodge's bicycle park. The Route is Wheelchair accessible.
Dogs welcome
Dogs are more than welcome in the park. Your four-footed friend does, however, have to be on a leash at all times and is not permitted inside the Krüller-Müller Museum, the Country Residence/ Museum Jachthuis Sint Hubertus, or the Museonder. Dogs are welcome in the Park Paviljoen and in the Theekoepel by the Country Residence Sint Hubertus.
