Museonder

Museonder

Ever had a look underground, in both senses of the word? Well, now you can, at the Museonder. The Museonder is the first underground museum in the world and is located in the Visitor Centre. A visit to the Museonder is included in the price of an admission ticket for the Park.

The Museonder gives you a surprising idea of what lives and used to live below the Earth's surface. The exhibition takes you further, deeper and deeper into the ground, until you end up in the Earth's centre.

You discover the most curious things along the way: a complete root system of a 135-year-old tree, rocks that tell you where they came from when you touch them, and there is also a water laboratory. Other items include the bones of animals that became extinct thousands of years ago.

The Museonder is open from 09.30 to 17.00 hrs. From April to October, it is open until 18.00 hrs.

Note: The Museonder is accessible only with a valid ticket for the National Park.
